How to Perform a Criminal Background Search From the Comfort of Your Home

There are probably times in all of our lives when we either considered performing a background check on someone, or at least had the need to perform a background check without realizing the resources we now have at our fingertips.

If you don't see one, your next best bet is to go to the county's superior court web site, which will be listed there almost without fail.

Once at the superior court web site, you can either download a form to fax or mail in, or you can complete an online request and make an online credit card payment and wait for your record to be mailed. That's assuming of course that you only want criminal records from the one county.

The easiest way is to use a search database that was built by a commercial provider or commercial investigative agency. These databases often contain hundreds of millions of cross-referenced records.

So instead of searching just for a criminal record in one county, you can perform a complete public records search for all of the digitized counties in the country.
